“Imam of the Year - 2024” winner was announced, awarded the Hajj Pass

7196The final stage of the "Imam of the Year - 2024" competition, held on November 13 among imams and deputy imams from mosques across Uzbekistan, has concluded with Muhammad Babur Nasriddinov, imam-khatib of the Hamiddin Qori mosque in Namangan, taking first place. This announcement was made by the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan.
In this nationwide contest, 14 imams and instructors from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, various regions, and the city of Tashkent competed. Participants were tested on their knowledge of Qur'an recitation and interpretation, aqeedah, Islamic jurisprudence, history, hadith studies, and the contributions of Islamic scholars. They also showcased their achievements and works published in the media.
The winners of the competition are as follows:
1st Place: Muhammad Babur Domla Nasriddinov, imam-khatib of Hamiddin Qori Mosque, Namangan, awarded a 1st-degree diploma and a Hajj tour pass.
2nd Place: Bakhtiyar Domla Satorov, imam-khatib of Firdavs Mosque in Tashkent, awarded a 2nd-degree diploma and 16 million soums.
3rd Place: Yakub Domla Bukharbayev, imam-khatib of Chanoq Mosque in Tashkent region, awarded a 3rd-degree diploma and 13 million soums.
Additionally, the title of “Most Dedicated Imam of the Year” was presented to Oltinbek Zinullayev, imam of Mulla Ishaq Mosque in Karakalpakstan, and Ollabergan Goyipov, imam of Mirhoshim Bobo Mosque in Khorezm.
Last year, the "Imam of the Year - 2023" title was awarded to the imam-khatib of the Khalid bin Walid Mosque in Tashkent.
