New appointments: Head imams and khatibs assigned across three regions

12657On February 28, a videoconference was held under the leadership of Mufti Sheykh Nuriddin Kholiqnazar, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Muslim Board, with district and city head imams and khatibs from the Surkhandarya, Samarqand, and Tashkent regions participating. At this meeting, new appointments for head imams and khatibs in these regions were announced, according to a press release from the Uzbekistan Muslim Board.
In the Surxondaryo region, head imam-khatib Aliakbar domla Sayfiddinov was relieved of his duties at his request and retained as the imam-khatib at the “Hakim Termiziy” Jome Masjid in Termiz. Rasuljon domla Abdullaev, who has been serving as Termiz city head imam and imam-khatib at the “Manguzar” Jome Masjid, was appointed as the representative of the Uzbekistan Muslim Board in the Surkhandarya region and as the regional head imam-khatib.
In the Tashkent region, Ahmadkhon qori Alimov, who has been serving as the imam-khatib at the “Oltintepa” masjid in the Mirzo Ulug‘bek district, was appointed as the head imam-khatib for the region by the Uzbekistan Muslim Board, represented by the Samarqand region. Meanwhile, Yoqubjon domla Mansurov, who has been temporarily fulfilling the duties of the Samarqand regional representative, as well as serving as deputy head imam-khatib at the “Xo‘ja Ahrori Valiy” Jome Masjid in Samarqand district, remains in his position.
Additionally, in the Tashkent region, Jasurbek domla Raupov voluntarily relinquished his post and was retained as the imam-khatib at the “Zangiota” Jome Masjid in the Zangiota district. Doniyor domla Ikromov, who has been serving as the head imam and imam-khatib at the “Hasanboy ota” Jome Masjid in the same district, was appointed as the head imam-khatib for the Tashkent region by the Uzbekistan Muslim Board.
It is worth recalling that earlier, eight imams and ten deputy imams working in mosques in Tashkent city were relieved of their duties. In addition, two imams and two deputy imams received “hayfsan” disciplinary measures.
