Four teams of Uzbekistan will participate in the Asian Champions League

Yesterday, on August 22, the qualifying matches of the Asian Champions League were held. Two Uzbek clubs OKMK and “Navbahor” met with Qatari teams in the qualifiers and won.
Both games were hosted by Qatar. OKMK club of Olmaliq coached by Mirjalal Kasimov played a match with “Al-Arabi” and won by a small score. Ruben Sanchez, the Spanish legionnaire of Almalik, scored the only goal in the 70th minute.
“Navbahor” club of Namangan led by Samvel Babayan met with “Al Wakra”. The only goal in the game was scored by Daniyor Abdumannopov in the first extra period.
Thus, “Navbahor” and OKMK took place in the 4th basket of Asian Champions League. Apart from these teams, “Pakhtakor” and “Nasaf” will represent Uzbekistan in the competition. The draw for the group stage will be held on August 24 in Kuala Lumpur.
