Andijan wins the Uzbekistan Cup for the first time in history

In the final of the 2024 Uzbekistan Cup, held at the Istiqlal Stadium in Fergana, "Andijan" made a historic comeback to defeat "Navbahor" from Namangan, claiming their first-ever Uzbekistan Cup title.

The first half ended goalless, with both teams unable to break the deadlock. However, in the 53rd minute of the second half, Namangan’s Abror Ismailov opened the scoring. Eight minutes before the end of regulation time, Andijan’s Muhammadkarim Toirov equalized, taking the match into extra time.

During the first extra time, the score remained tied at 1-1. The second extra time was full of drama. In the 116th minute, Islam Mamatkazin of Andijan put his team in the lead. Just three minutes later, "Navbahor" leveled the score through Farrukh Sayfiyev.

But in the dying moments of the match, Vladimir Bubanya of Andijan scored the winning goal, sealing a 3-2 victory. With this, "Andijan" lifted the Uzbekistan Cup for the first time in the club's history.
