Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Korea passed away

15365Vitaly Vasilevich Fen, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea, has passed away. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan shared this news with great sorrow on their social media platforms.
"Vitaly Vasilievich Fen was a renowned statesman, accomplished athlete, and dedicated diplomat who devoted his entire life to serving our Motherland. He led Uzbekistan's diplomatic mission in Seoul for 25 years, significantly contributing to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea. His many years of service will leave a lasting impact on the strengthening of Uzbekistan-South Korea relations," the announcement stated.
Born in 1947 in Margilon, Fergana region, Vitaly Fen received numerous honors, including the "For Selfless Services" and "Labor Fame" awards from Uzbekistan, as well as South Korea's "Gwanghwa" Order.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan extends its deepest condolences to the family members and relatives of the deceased," the ministry's statement concluded.
