Strong dust storms expected in several regions of Uzbekistan

On November 4, strong winds and dust storms are expected in several regions of Uzbekistan, the Uzbekhydromet Agency reported.
According to the agency, wind speeds may reach 13–18 m/s in Samarkand, Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Surkhandarya, Andijan, Namangan, Fergana, and some mountainous areas, with dust storms likely in certain locations.
“The residents and visitors of these regions are advised to take precautionary measures,” the report said.
Uzbekhydromet also emphasized that during such weather, people should limit outdoor activities and wear masks when going outside.
