Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the presentation on the development of master plans for various districts and cities, as reported by the President's press service.

Officials presented the preliminary work and anticipated outcomes of the master plans, which were assigned by the Head of State during the video conference on economic priorities held on January 16, 2024.

Plans include the preparation of 136 master plans for 112 districts and cities, with a master plan already developed for 14 districts and cities. These plans identified the potential for constructing 759 multi-storey buildings, 22 shopping complexes, and over 800 service facilities.

The president emphasized the need to build sufficient housing in 38 district centers and cities experiencing population growth, along with comfortable spaces for recreation and parks.

The presentation highlighted that 20 districts with high tourist potential could increase tourist flow by 2.5 times through hotel expansion and the development of beach, ecological, medical, sports, and extreme tourism. Additionally, more than 400 motels, campgrounds, kitchens, shops, and car service centers could be established in 68 districts along major highways.

Mirziyoyev also instructed the creation of a vertical system for the development and monitoring of master plans.

These projects are expected to create 40,000 jobs and add 350 billion soums to the budget annually.

It is worth noting that Mirziyoyev previously announced an increase in teachers' salaries.
