12908The "King's League," a prestigious tournament often referred to as the World Cup for football media teams, is currently underway in Milan, Italy.
On January 7, the Uzbek media team participated in a thrilling match against the Peruvian team, emerging victorious and advancing to the quarterfinals of the championship.
However, as reported by QALAMPIR.UZ, no sports organization in Uzbekistan has offered official support for the "Unwanted Boys" team’s participation in the tournament. Despite the high costs of travel, accommodation, and other expenses associated with competing in the World Cup, the team members have taken it upon themselves to cover all costs.
Islam Abdujabborov, the team leader, revealed that only Alisher Sa'dullayev, the director of the Youth Affairs Agency, provided some practical assistance, particularly with issues related to payments within Uzbekistan.
In an exciting development, the Uzbekistan national football team is set to face Colombia in the quarterfinals of the World Cup on January 8. The match will kick off at 22:00 Tashkent time.
