How much of their salary do Uzbeks spend on food?

Euromonitor International, an international business statistics agency, has presented statistics on how much money people spend on food in 105 countries around the world.

The countries that spend the least money on food are listed in the preceding lines. The last places are occupied by the countries that spend 50% or more of their income on food.

Interestingly, Uzbekistan is ranked among the last ten in the rating. According to the agency, Uzbeks spend 46.5% of their salary on food, placing the country in the 98th position among the 105 countries on the list, ahead of Kazakhstan.

The first place was secured by the USA with a percentage of 6.7. This is, of course, significantly lower than Uzbekistan's indicator, which is around 50 percent. After all, Uzbek people don't prefer extravagant feasting at weddings.

It's worth noting that the index of people buying houses in Uzbekistan has also increased.
