5491In Uzbekistan, recent data from the Tax Committee reveals varied wage levels for industrial workers across the country.
In September, official data indicated that 772,400 people were employed in the industry. Among them, 336,000 individuals earned monthly wages ranging from 3 to 10 million soums, while 287,800 people received between 1,050,000 and 3 million soums.
Only 425 workers earned more than 100 million soums monthly.
Nearly 7,000 workers were paid as low as 262,500 soums, below 25% of the minimum wage threshold (MHTEKM).
The national average monthly salary for industrial workers is 5 million soums.
Regional Salary Averages:
Navoi Region reports the highest average wage at 8.9 million soums.
- Tashkent City follows with an average of 5.8 million soums.
- Tashkent Region averages 5.1 million soums.
- Andijan Region is at 4.6 million soums
- While Karakalpakstan averages 4.5 million soums.
Lowest-Paid Regions: Syrdarya, Khorezm, and Namangan regions have the lowest average industrial wages, ranging between 2.3 to 2.7 million soums.
This wage distribution highlights significant disparities, with workers in some regions earning substantially more than others, particularly in areas like Navoi and Tashkent.
