The US Embassy in Uzbekistan has launched a 10-month training and professional development program across Uzbekistan. Twenty-five teachers from America have come to Uzbekistan to teach pupils and students within the framework of this program, as announced by the embassy.

Out of these twenty-five teachers, seventeen are teaching in schools ranging from the 10th grade to university level, while eight specialize in teaching English at the university level (TESOL).

"Fifteen of the American teachers are members of the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) program of the US State Department, and two of them are ETA graduates who have previously participated in the English Language Teaching Program of the US Embassy in Tashkent, with the goal of continuing to teach English in Uzbekistan. These teachers hold master's degrees in TESOL or related fields and have an average of ten years of teaching experience," the embassy stated.

For your information, these teachers are spread across eleven regions of Uzbekistan.

We would like to remind you that the Head of State has announced that, starting from the new academic year, 500 specially invited English language experts from abroad will be teaching in schools, and primary school students will commence studying new programs and textbooks developed based on advanced foreign experience.
