Member of a criminal group who tried to smuggle drugs to Uzbekistan was caught

A Kyrgyz drug courier was apprehended while attempting to transport a large quantity of drugs to Uzbekistan, as reported by "Sputnik."

It was noted that on July 21 of this year, a member of a drug-dealing group, a foreign national, was arrested during a swift operation conducted by law enforcement officers in the city of Kyzyl-Kiya, Kyrgyzstan. Authorities confiscated 15 kg of hashish with an estimated value of 6.5 million soums from him.

The arrested individual admitted that he intended to transport the drugs to the Fergana region for the purpose of selling them.

It was also discovered that the criminal group had established an international drug trafficking route from Tajikistan through Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.

Reports indicate that Kyrgyz law enforcement officials have detained the man and he will remain in custody until September 15.

It is worth noting that in recent times, several individuals involved in the trade of psychotropic substances imported from Kyrgyzstan and narcotic substances imported from Tajikistan have been arrested in various regions.
