Where most tourists to Uzbekistan come from

In January-October 2024, nearly 6.5 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan, marking an increase of 951,300 people (17.2%) compared to the same period in 2023, according to the Statistics Agency.

The distribution of tourists by country is as follows:

  • Tajikistan: 1,878,500 visitors
  • Kyrgyz Republic: 1,870,300 visitors
  • Kazakhstan: 1,267,500 visitors
  • Russia: 686,700 visitors
  • Turkmenistan: 145,000 visitors
  • Turkey: 95,700 visitors
  • China: 57,700 visitors
  • India: 55,900 visitors
  • South Korea: 36,500 visitors
  • Italy: 36,300 visitors
  • Other countries: 366,600 visitors

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan citizens predominantly travel to Kyrgyzstan for tourism. From January to July 2024, 3.4 million Uzbeks traveled abroad for tourist purposes, an increase of 890,500 people (35.7%) compared to the same period in 2023.
