Imports of electric cars in Uzbekistan have increased by 5.2 times

Between January-April 2022, Uzbekistan imported 734 electric cars worth $21.8 million from 10 foreign countries.

According to the State Statistics Committee, imports of electric vehicles increased by 594 units or 5.2 times compared to the same period in 2021.

From which countries did Uzbekistan mainly import electric cars in the first 4 months of 2022?

• UAE – 40 units
• Germany – 17 units
• Hong Kong – 10 units
• Lithuania – 6 units
• Estonia – 2 units
• South Korea – 2 units

It should be recalled that between January-April 2022, Uzbekistan imported 12,017 cars worth 280.4 million US dollars from 21 foreign countries. Imports of light cars increased by 6,113 or 2 times compared to the same period last year.
