Boris Maksudov, a journalist who was born in Uzbekistan and moved to Russia with his family at the age of 15, was fatally wounded and died during armed conflicts in Ukraine. Sergei Aksyonov, the head of Crimea appointed by Russia, expressed his condolences to the family members and relatives of the deceased.


"It was with deep sadness that I received the news about the death of Boris Bakhtiyorovich Maksudov, a reporter for the 'Russia 24' TV channel. It's a terrible loss. He died doing his duty like a true patriotic soldier in a combat post. His devotion to his profession, courage, and tenacity, connecting his life with journalism, will be a worthy example for everyone. I express my sincere condolences to the family members and relatives of Boris Bakhtiyorovich. I share your pain," Sergey Aksyonov wrote on the Telegram channel.


For information, Boris Maksudov was born in Nukus, Karakalpakstan. He received his higher education at the Faculty of Socio-Pedagogy in Russian and Foreign Literature of Sochi State University. During his career, he chose journalism and followed in the footsteps of his mother and grandfather. Maksudov had been filming, preparing, and broadcasting reports on the progress of military operations in the Zaporozhye region (Ukraine) as a reporter for the "Russia 24" TV channel for several years.
