In Uzbekistan, a state incentive package will be introduced for greenhouses operating on coal fuel.  It was announced today, August 11, at the meeting of video selectors held in Bukhara under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It is noted that in recent years, the area of greenhouses in the country has tripled to 5.2 thousand hectares, and the volume of products grown in them has increased from 90 thousand tons to 300 thousand tons.  Also, greenhouses employ 150,000 people with high-income jobs.

“At the same time, greenhouse workers are one of the most affected by severe winter cold.  I know about all their problems,” said the head of state.

At the meeting, it was decided to draw up tripartite agreements between the Ministry of Energy, regional governors and greenhouse farms.

In this case, the ministry, together with the governors of the regions, guarantees the continuous supply of fuel products (coal and gas) to greenhouses, and the greenhouses must fully account for the delivered fuel, grow agricultural products, and sell them to the domestic market.  And undertakes to export.

A special incentive package will be introduced by the state for greenhouses that operate voluntarily on coal fuel.

In particular, a 14 percent credit line will be opened for the construction of a special warehouse for greenhouses and working capital, and 20 percent of the costs of purchasing heating boilers will be covered.

Credit resources of 650 billion Sums will be directed to replenish the working capital of greenhouses operating on natural gas.

In order to increase the production of profitable products in greenhouses, imported flower buds, onion heads and cuttings will be exempted from customs duty until 2025.

The repayment period for the loans of 2.2 trillion sums of a thousand greenhouses will be extended.

We remind you that earlier the lease term of 73 thousand hectares of land in three regions was extended for 30 years.
