120 “mobile groups” were established to guard the borders of Uzbekistan

120 groups of employees from various forces were formed to ensure border security in Uzbekistan.  Today, 31 October, the Oliy Majlis Senate's Committee on Defense and Security Affairs held a conference on "The main directions of cooperation of border troops, defense, customs service, internal affairs bodies and neighborhoods in protecting the borders of the Motherland." Experience, results and tasks in the future was mentioned in the round discussion.

It was noted that today the situation in the world is rapidly changing, and threats and dangers to security are increasing, therefore, several measures are being implemented to ensure the strength of the border and to prevent various types of violations.

In particular, to prevent the entry of various militant groups into the territory of Uzbekistan, to ensure the inviolability and security of the country's borders, and to further strengthen the continuous control of the socio-political and operational situation, the Border Troops of the State Security Service, the National Guard, the Internal Affairs and in cooperation with the Ministries of Defense, in March and August of this year, "border-cleaning" and rapid-preventive activities were held in all border settlements.

To prevent the impact of the acute socio-political situation in neighboring countries on our country, to maintain the stability of the rapid-criminogenic and socio-political situation, to ensure the peace and tranquility of the population, to prevent various types of crimes and violations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 120 "mobile groups" consisting of employees of the State Security Service, the National Guard and the Ministry of Defense have been organized.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Border Troops of the State Security Service, and the involvement of shepherds, hunters, and forestry workers, during the past period of 2022, the border was reached, in the mountains 2,154 reconnaissance and search operations were conducted in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
