Approximately 3,000 Uzbek migrants were apprehended at the US border over a span of seven months, as reported by "Fox News".

During the period from October 1, 2023, until now, a total of 57,200 illegal immigrants have been intercepted at the southern border of the United States.

Among them, 2,900 individuals hail from Uzbekistan. Notably, many of these Uzbeks followed a route from Uzbekistan through Turkey/Spain, Bolivia, Colombia, and Mexico, before reaching the USA.

In October 2023, Uzbeks ranked third in the list of nationalities arrested for attempting illegal entry into the southern US border.

It's worth noting that in March, Senator Steve Danes disclosed that 40,000 individuals from Central Asian nations are awaiting asylum proceedings in the USA, with 17,000 of them being Uzbek nationals.
