Uzbekistan experienced an earthquake for the second time in 24 hours

Today, 11 October at 13:10pm Tashkent time (October 11, 2022, 08:10 MSK), an earthquake occurred in Afghanistan.  This was reported by the Republic Center for Seismoprognostic Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Earthquake coordinates: 36.51 degrees north; 66.67 degrees east.  The 5.2-point earthquake epicenter is located 573km southwest of Tashkent, at a depth of 15km.

Territorial Impact of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

  • 3 points, 95 km in Surkhan Darya region.
  • 2 points, 271 km in Kashkadarya region.

Earlier, on 11 October at 04:23am, we reported that an earthquake had been recorded in Afghanistan, and its effects were also felt in the Surkhandarya and Fergana regions of Uzbekistan.
