Uzbekistan climbs two spots in latest FIFA ranking

5530The Uzbekistan national football team has moved up to 58th place in the latest International Football Federation (FIFA) ranking.
Under the leadership of head coach Srechko Katanec, the team improved by two spots compared to the previous month. In October, Uzbekistan played matches against Iran and the UAE, securing one victory and one draw. This performance has positioned Uzbekistan as the 7th-ranked team among Asian nations in the FIFA ranking.
Among Asian teams, Japan continues to hold the top spot, currently ranked 15th in the world. Iran, which shares a group with Uzbekistan in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, is ranked 19th.
The global ranking remains led by the current World Cup champions, Argentina. France, Spain, England, and Brazil complete the top five.
