Dominant first half secures semifinal spot for Uzbekistan U-17 team

In the quarterfinals of the U-17 Asian Cup held in Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan's national team emerged victorious against the United Arab Emirates with a 3-1 win, securing their spot in the semifinals.

The match began with a stunning free-kick goal from Asilbek Aliyev in the 13th minute, shot from approximately 25 meters. In the 36th minute, Aliyev doubled the score after converting a beautiful pass from his teammate, securing a brace. During added time in the first half, Sayfiddin Sodikov converted a penalty, bringing the score to a dominant 3-0.

In the second half, a lapse in focus led to a goal by UAE player Muhammad Buti in the 67th minute, reducing the deficit to 3-1. However, Uzbekistan held firm until the final whistle, confirming their place in the semifinals.

Next Match: Led by coach Islom Ismoilov, Uzbekistan will face the winner of the match between Indonesia and North Korea on April 17 in the semifinals.
