The treaty on alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan has been ratified. This information was reported by the Ministry of Justice.
According to the Ministry, the primary objective of the agreement is to strengthen the new stage of interstate relations aimed at further enhancing the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and stable economic development of the two countries.


The agreement entails close cooperation in foreign policy, defense and security, migration, the development of industrial cooperation, the adoption of joint measures for the rational use of transboundary water resources, and the strengthening of relations between parliaments, political parties, and public organizations.


The annex to the agreement includes the statute of the Supreme Interstate Council of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which is to be headed by the heads of state.


It is worth noting that the Senate had previously approved the alliance agreement with Kazakhstan.
