Uzbekistan praised Russia’s readiness to join transport projects

Uzbekistan welcomed the readiness of the Russian Federation to join transport projects, in particular the construction of new rail corridors to Pakistan and China. This was announced today, 14 October, at the summit «Central Asia – Russia» by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, TASS reports.
«I welcome the readiness of the Russian Federation to join Pakistan and China in implementing such strategic projects as the construction of new railway corridors», - said President Mirziyoyev.
In his view, the strengthening of transport and communication links was an essential area of cooperation.
The Head of Uzbekistan drew attention to the further implementation of the project «Agroexpress», aimed at ensuring the prompt delivery of food from the countries of the region to the final consumer.
«This project serves food safety», - said Mirziyoyev.
