Parliamentary representatives from Uzbekistan are scheduled to visit Russia

Led by Nuriddin Ismailov, Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the delegation will be in Russia from February 19th to 20th, as announced by the lower chamber's press service.

During their stay, the Uzbekistan Parliament delegation plans to meet with Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of Russia, and Valentina Matvienko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

The forthcoming discussions will focus on enhancing and fortifying inter-parliamentary relations and fostering cooperation in various areas.

Additionally, the visit includes the inaugural session of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation with the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

This visit was arranged subsequent to a meeting between members of the Russian Parliament delegation and the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis in November 2022.
