Uzbekistan’s national football team will play a friendly match against the Netherlands ahead of the World Cup. This was reported by the press service of the Uzbekistan Football Association.
According to the report, the match will take place on June 8 at Icahn Stadium in New York. The game is scheduled to start at 23:45 Tashkent time.
The Netherlands have been drawn in Group G of the World Cup alongside Japan, Sweden and Tunisia, while Uzbekistan are in Group K with Portugal, Colombia and Congo.
For reference, before this match, Uzbekistan’s national team, led by Fabio Cannavaro, will also play a friendly against World Cup host Canada on June 1.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan national team head coach Fabio Cannavaro had announced the list of players called up for the training camp to be held in May.
