Uzbekistan discusses satellite launch with Kazakhstan

5436In Astana, the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, discussed prospects for cooperation with the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Jaslan Madiyev. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
It was noted that the delegation from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Digital Technologies participated in the "Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation," organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in Astana on September 2-3.
As part of this event, Minister Sherzod Shermatov met with Minister Jaslan Madiyev to discuss the state of regional cooperation on digital skills training, digital inclusion, and digital transformation, with a focus on strengthening these areas.
Additionally, plans for regional cooperation aimed at accelerating digital innovation were considered. The ministers discussed potential collaboration on launching a group of joint satellites into space, with both countries set to study the issue, analyze data, and define proposals by the end of this year.
It’s worth recalling that it was previously reported that the CubeSat scientific-educational satellite will be produced in Uzbekistan.
