Uzbekistan secures first medal at Asian Winter Games

The Uzbek delegation won the gold medal at the Asian Winter Games after a 26-year hiatus. The press service of the Ministry of Sports reported this.
The pair of figure skaters Dmitry Chigirey and Ekaterina Geinish scored 176.43 points, achieving the best result in the competition.
In the day's program, members of the Uzbek figure skating team Niginabonu Jamoliddinova and Sevinch Rakhimova made their debut at the Asian Winter Games. Jamoliddinova scored 27.88 points in the short program, while Rakhimova scored 18.09 points. They will now demonstrate their free skate performance tomorrow.
