Tashkent will not host the 2025 Asian Youth Games

Tashkent will no longer host the III Asian Youth Games in 2025, according to the press service of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
“The Olympic Council of Asia announces the cancellation of the III Asian Youth Games, which were originally scheduled to be held in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. According to the decision made at the Executive Council meeting held on December 2, 2024, the event will now take place in Bahrain in 2025,” the OCA stated.
No reasons have been provided for the decision to relocate the games from Tashkent.
The games were initially planned to be held in September, with the Olympic Village in Yashnabad district already nearing completion for the event.
