Uzbekistan takes fourth place among the CIS countries most attacked on the Internet

3869This is stated in the Kaspersky Lab report on cyber threats to the CIS countries for the first quarter of 2023 and 2024.
It is noted that the majority of attacks were made on Tajik users (60.69%). It is followed by Belarus (59.79%), Turkmenistan (59.55%), and Uzbekistan (58.74%). Kyrgyzstan (57.21%), Kazakhstan (54.62%), Russia (51.86%), Azerbaijan (49.73%), and Armenia (44.21%) follow.
The report also identifies areas of activity that are most likely to be subject to cyber-attacks. The top three are finance (28%), construction (24%), and manufacturing (14%).
Also, while most countries saw an increase in the number of attacks towards the end of 2023, these numbers decreased sharply in early 2024.
