An Uzbekistan citizen died from a lightning strike in Kazakhstan's Miyali village, Atyrau region, according to a report by "Tengrinews".
The incident occurred on the evening of June 25 of this year. Lightning fell into an abandoned house on Usenov Street, where a fire subsequently broke out. It is noted that a citizen of Uzbekistan was also inside the house at the time of the lightning strike. He was in the kitchen of the abandoned house at that time.
Having entered Kazakhstan through the "Beyneu" border post on May 28, 2024, the Uzbek citizen had been staying temporarily with a local resident in Miyali village.
“Upon examination, no injuries were found on the body, which has been sent to the district hospital's morgue for forensic examination,” the report stated.
Earlier reports highlighted over 40 fatalities from lightning and rain in Pakistan.
