12163Earlier, reports indicated that a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi had crashed. Official Tashkent received this news with deep concern, prompting a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan is closely monitoring updates on the fate of the helicopter's passengers, including high-ranking Iranian officials. We hope that all passengers will be found safe and sound soon. Uzbekistan stands ready to provide any necessary assistance to our Iranian friends," stated the MFA.
According to Iran's "Press TV," citing the Iranian Red Crescent Society, the helicopter carrying Ebrahim Raisi and his companions has been located. The Red Crescent announced that search and rescue teams have reached the crash site.
