The official website of the International Football Federation (FIFA) has included Abbos Fayzullaev, a player for the Uzbekistan national team and CSKA Moscow, in a list of six young stars who are shining in the 2026 World Cup qualifying round.

"After being named the AFC’s 'Best Young Player of the Year,' Fayzullaev continues to solidify his reputation with an exceptional performance for Uzbekistan against the DPRK. Despite his small stature, he boasts remarkable technical abilities. The 'magician' based in Moscow scored the only goal in the match in Vientiane. His long-range strike has helped propel the 'White Wolves' forward in their historic bid to qualify for the World Cup for the first time," the report notes.

For reference, the 21-year-old Fayzullaev has scored three goals in the last two matches for the Uzbekistan national team, including two goals against Qatar and a decisive goal against North Korea.
