1021It is planned to lift 1.5 million people out of poverty in 2025. This was announced today, December 20, at a videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the results of the current year and the main plans for 2025 for comprehensive support of entrepreneurship, as well as during a dialogue with leading entrepreneurs.
It is noted that next year, it is planned to achieve a large goal, bringing the gross domestic product to $120 billion, exports to $30 billion, increase investment by $42 billion, employ 5 million people, and lift 1.5 million people out of poverty.
This year alone, the number of income taxpayers in the private sector increased by 365 thousand. The next task is to increase their income and create sufficient conditions for a decent life.
However, 30 percent of workers in the private sector have an official monthly salary of less than 1 million soums. It was noted that this issue is especially urgent in Karakalpakstan, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Surkhandarya, Syrdarya, and Khorezm. This is mainly observed in the textile, construction, agriculture, trade, and catering sectors.
Measures to support entrepreneurs have been developed to eliminate the causes of this situation.
For example, in the textile and leather sectors, entrepreneurs who pay at least 2.5 million soums per month and produce finished products, 15 percent of whose employees are from needy families, will be given benefits.
Both the profit tax and the income tax per employee of such enterprises will be 1 percent. In return for this benefit, they will employ 50 thousand needy people.
The state is ready to extend the benefits that expire this year for other sectors with such a social criterion.
