Uzbekistan's national team now has a 78% chance of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, following their victory over the DPRK in the 6th round of the 3rd stage of the qualifiers. This assessment comes from "We Global."
According to the report, Uzbekistan has an 8% chance of securing a spot as the group winner. The top contender in their group, Iran, is heavily favored to clinch first place, with a 91.3% probability of direct qualification.
In Group "A," Qatar, the host of the current Asian Championship and the 2022 World Cup, has a slim 1% chance of direct qualification. However, their likelihood of progressing to the 4th stage is 77.6%, as they currently sit in 4th place in the group.
Meanwhile, South Korea and Iraq in Group "B" and Japan and Australia in Group "C" are expected to secure direct tickets to the World Cup.
