Uzbekistan expands diplomatic relations to 150 countries with new ties to Seychelles

Uzbekistan has officially established diplomatic relations with the Seychelles, bringing the total number of countries with which it has diplomatic ties to 150. This announcement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov.
During a meeting with Sylvester Radegond, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Seychelles, a joint communiqué was signed, highlighting the potential for cooperation between the two nations.
"We noted that there are many opportunities in the development of important areas of promising cooperation, especially in public diplomacy and tourism exchange," stated Bakhtiyor Saidov.
For context, Uzbekistan recently established diplomatic relations with Djibouti in May, further expanding its global engagement.
