Uzbekistan's Armed Forces have been ranked 19th among the world's strongest armies, according to a ranking compiled by US News and World Report.

The study places Russia, the United States, and Israel at the top, with other leading countries including China, South Korea, Iran, and Turkey. China, previously in third place, has shifted to fourth, and Jordan rounds out the top 20.

Among Uzbekistan's neighbors, Kazakhstan is also included in the ranking, taking 22nd place. The ranking was based on a global survey evaluating each country's military strength.

In a separate report by Global Firepower, the United States, Russia, and China retained their top three spots for 2024. Central Asia's ranking shows Kazakhstan as the regional leader at 58th, an improvement of five positions from last year, while Uzbekistan ranks 65th, a slight drop from 62nd. Other Central Asian countries are listed as follows: Turkmenistan at 83rd, Kyrgyzstan at 100th, Tajikistan at 107th, and Afghanistan at 115th.

These rankings take into account various factors, including financial resources, logistics, and geographic advantages, to assess military strength.
