The Armed Forces of Uzbekistan have climbed seven spots in the global military ranking, securing 58th place out of 145 countries, according to the Global Firepower website. This ranking is based on over 60 criteria, including financial support, logistics, and geographical factors that influence military strength.

This improvement marks a notable rise from last year's position, where Uzbekistan ranked 65th.

The top ten countries in the military rankings are:
1. USA
2. Russia
3. China
4. India
5. South Korea
6. Great Britain
7. France
8. Japan
9. Turkey
10. Italy

Among Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan ranks 57th (down from 58th last year), while Uzbekistan holds the 58th position. Other regional rankings include Turkmenistan at 77th (up from 83rd), Kyrgyzstan at 105th (down from 100th), and Tajikistan at 108th (up from 107th).

It is important to note that in October of the previous year, Uzbekistan's military strength was ranked 19th globally in a separate ranking by US News & World Report, which was based on global survey data. Only Kazakhstan from Uzbekistan's neighboring countries made the list, securing 22nd place.
