Uzbek citizens residing in Turkey have been warned following the terrorist attack in Ankara on October 23. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul issued the advisory.
The Consulate General held discussions with representatives from the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Police. During these consultations, they were informed that security measures have been significantly tightened across all regions of Turkey in response to the recent attack.
Uzbeks in Turkey are urged to remain vigilant and take precautions in public places, particularly at airports, railway stations, bus stations, metro stations, and other forms of public transport.
Furthermore, citizens planning to leave Turkey are advised to arrive at airports at least one hour before check-in and report any suspicious objects or individuals to the police or security personnel.
This warning comes as Turkey raises its threat level to orange, heightening security following reports that terrorist groups are planning attacks on airports.
