Uzbek citizens currently in the Republic of Kazakhstan, particularly those traveling in transit, have been issued a warning by the Migration Agency.
The agency noted that in recent days, severe cold weather has caused significant disruptions to road travel across various regions of Kazakhstan. Over the coming weeks, adverse weather conditions, including fog, heavy snowfall, and icy roads, are expected on major highways. These conditions are likely to create further difficulties for road travel.
In light of these challenges, Uzbek citizens in Kazakhstan are urged to strictly adhere to all road safety regulations. They are advised to consider alternative modes of transportation, such as trains or airplanes, for long-distance travel if absolutely necessary. Authorities have also recommended avoiding travel by road unless it is essential.
It should be recalled that similar warnings were previously issued to Uzbek citizens in Kazakhstan due to extreme cold weather conditions and associated risks for transit travelers.
