A powerful explosion rocked a workshop in the Chilonzor district of Tashkent city earlier today, as confirmed by the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The incident took place at approximately 9:50 AM local time on June 14. The blast occurred within a single-story shed, serving as a hangar for the copper pipe production workshop, situated on Astrobod Street in the Chilonzor District of Tashkent. Preliminary reports suggest that the ignition of an air-gas mixture triggered the explosion.

Authorities swiftly responded to the emergency, with fire-rescue teams, personnel from the Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the Health Department, "Hududgaz," and other relevant organizations rushing to the scene. Immediate efforts are underway to mitigate the aftermath of the incident, stated the official report.

Early estimates indicate that six individuals sustained injuries of varying severity due to the explosion. These victims have been promptly transported to the Republican Emergency Medical Research Center for treatment and further medical assessment. The authorities are closely monitoring their conditions.
