Construction work on the student accommodation building at Tashkent State Agrarian University has been halted due to significant quality issues. This decision was announced by the regional control inspection responsible for overseeing construction and housing services.

The facility, intended to accommodate 400 students, has faced ongoing scrutiny for failing to meet project standards. Despite receiving multiple warnings and instructions from inspectors, the contractor, "New Brand House" LLC, persisted in executing subpar construction practices.

Ismail Hamidov, the chief inspector of the control inspection, highlighted specific violations, noting that during the installation of the plasterboard, the contractor used plaster to adhere to the boards instead of following the proper procedure of installing them with a frame made from profiles. Additionally, the construction of the entrance door partitions and roof work was carried out in defiance of approved project documents, indicating a lack of oversight from the technical supervisor and internal inspector.

The inspection team reported that they issued 14 written notices regarding the construction violations. Despite these warnings, work continued without rectification. As a result, fines were imposed on three occasions, leading to the eventual suspension of construction until a thorough technical inspection could be conducted.

The regional control inspection emphasized that rigorous enforcement operations are ongoing throughout Tashkent, aimed at ensuring compliance with construction standards.

This incident follows a recent crackdown in the Samarkand region, where substandard construction sites were demolished by the same oversight authority.
