Some streets in Tashkent will be closed for two months

"Voice of Uzbekistan" (O'zbekiston ovozi) street in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent will be closed for two months due to modernization works, according to the press service of the Mirzo Ulugbek district administration.

The street is transforming 7/24 street, with significant infrastructure changes being implemented to align with urban planning standards and better accommodate the needs of residents and passengers. As part of this project, from October 18 at 14:00 until December 20, the section of "Voice of Uzbekistan" street between Shahrisabz Street and Istiklal Street will temporarily close to car traffic.

"The administration apologized for any inconvenience caused during this period," the report states.

Additionally, it was reported that in the Yakkasaray district, high-voltage underground power transmission cables are being installed on Bobur Street, restricting traffic to two lanes from Shota Rustaveli Street to Seoul Street. This restriction will last from October 16 to November 15.
