A citizen in Tashkent has been penalized for illegally transforming the basement of an apartment building into an entertainment venue. The Ministry of Construction and Communal Services reported this incident through its press service.

According to the report, the case came to light following a complaint from neighbors. The Construction and Communal Services Supervision Inspectorate conducted an investigation and discovered that the individual had taken over the basement space, removed several concrete supports, and created a separate entrance with a staircase. These actions severely compromised the structural integrity of the building.

"The Construction Inspectorate issued a warning and imposed a fine on the individual. Additionally, a lawsuit was filed in court to address the damage caused and rectify the situation," the report states.

In a separate case, construction work at a kindergarten in the Navoi region was temporarily halted after substandard work was discovered. The poor-quality work was demolished on site.
