The number of applicants for the prestigious tournament held in Tashkent is increasing

From 3-5 March this year, the “Grand Slam” Judo tournament will be held in Tashkent.  So far, 23 countries have applied to participate in this tournament.  This was reported by the Press Service of the National Olympic Committee.

In the competition, along with the championship, the athletes will fight for valuable rating points on the way to the Paris-2024 Olympics.  Many famous athletes have registered to participate in the tournament in Tashkent.  Cuban Andy Granda, who won the gold medal in the +100 kg weight category at the world championships hosted by our capital last year, can be seen among the participants.

So far, the teams that have expressed their desire to participate in the Tashkent Grand Slam are: Canada, Central African Republic, Chinese Taipei, Cuba, Cyprus, Estonia, Great Britain, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Poland, Samoa  , Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, USA, Vietnam.
