Agreements on the implementation of projects worth 18 billion dollars in the fields of "green" energy, infrastructure, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals will be signed within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum. This was reported by the Presidential Information Service.

It is noted that today, May 2, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is receiving dignitaries from different countries who have come to Tashkent to participate in the forum. In particular, the head of state also met with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Singapore, Sia Kian Peng.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of the parliament thanked the leader of our country for his warm welcome and acknowledged that the forum was organized at a high level. In addition, special attention is paid to the development of cooperation in the fields of personnel training, investments, tourism, and public safety. The importance of joint effective parliamentary control over high-level agreements was emphasized.

Mirziyoyev also received a delegation led by the Minister of Energy of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud.

At the beginning of the meeting, the minister conveyed greetings and best wishes of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince, Prime Minister Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud to the leader of Uzbekistan. Issues of further expansion of practical cooperation and implementation of priority investment projects in Uzbekistan were discussed.

"Agreements on the implementation of projects worth 18 billion dollars in the fields of "green" energy, infrastructure, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals will be signed within the framework of this year's forum," the report said.

Today, the President also received a delegation led by the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Abdulla bin Al Marri, who came to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

Current issues of support and promotion of joint projects of trade-economic and investment cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

It is noted with satisfaction that partnership is rapidly developing in the priority sectors of the economy. The volume of trade, joint ventures, and direct flights are increasing. The portfolio of projects with the participation of the leading companies of the two countries has reached 4 billion dollars.

Special attention is paid to the acceleration of large projects in energy, transport, logistics, agriculture, water supply, and other sectors.
