Streets to be closed in Tashkent during Ramadan announced

Traffic will be temporarily restricted on several streets in Tashkent during the nights of the holy month of Ramadan due to Tarawih prayers, the capital’s Main Department of Internal Affairs reported.
According to the statement, starting from February 18, traffic near mosques will be restricted ежедневно from 18:00 to 24:00 to ensure road safety and maintain public order.
The restrictions will apply to streets near major mosques in the Mirzo Ulugbek, Bektemir, Yashnobod, Mirobod, Sergeli, Yakkasaray, Yangihayot, Shaykhontohur, Olmazor, Yunusobod, Uchtepa, and Chilonzor districts.
In Mirzo Ulugbek district, traffic will be restricted from Durmon Yuli Street to Olimlar Street near the Tepa Mosque.
In Bektemir district, traffic will be restricted from M. Avezov Street to H. Boyqaro Street near the Alibek Mosque.
In Yashnobod district, traffic will be restricted from the secondary road of Fargona Yuli Street to Zarkent and Obishir streets near the Islomota Mosque, and from Cholpon Street to Salohiyat Street near the Ali ibn Abu Tolib Mosque.
In Mirobod district, traffic will be restricted from the intersection of Yangi-Kuyliq and Fayziobod streets to 5th Tor Fayziobod Street near the Valikhujа O‘g‘li Norxo‘ja Mosque, and from the intersection of TKHAY and Kuyliq Ota streets to Yangi Kuyliq Tor Street near the Kuyliq Ota Mosque.
In Sergeli district, traffic will be restricted from Choshtepa Street to 1st Tor Choshtepa Street near the Ma’ruf Ota Mosque, and from the intersection of Yangi Sergeli and S. Kho‘janov streets to the intersection of S. Kho‘janov and Mohidil streets near the Nog‘ay Qo‘rg‘on Mosque.
In Yakkasaray district, traffic will be restricted from the KHAY–Fayzli Tashkent intersection to the KHAY–Qushbegi intersection near the Usmon bin Ma‘zum Mosque; from the Sh. Rustaveli–Yakkasaray intersection to the Yakkasaray–Bog‘uboston intersection near the Yakkasaray Mosque; and from J. Shoshiy Street to Askiya Street near the Rakat Mosque.
In Yangihayot district, traffic will be restricted from the TKHAY–Binokor intersection to the entrance of Pastdargon mahalla near the Niyozmat Ota Mosque.
In Shaykhontohur district, traffic will be restricted from the Ko‘kcha Darvoza–Nurafshon intersection to the Ko‘kcha Darvoza–Beshqayrag‘och intersection near the Shaykh Zayniddin (Ko‘kcha) Mosque, and from the Bunyodkor–Kamolon intersection to the Kamolon–2nd Tor Ustazoda intersection near the Kamolon Mosque.
In Olmazor district, traffic will be restricted from the Nurafshon–Qorasaroy intersection to the Qorasaroy–A. Qodiriy intersection near the Hazrati Imam Mosque; from the KHAY–Sag‘bon intersection to the Nurafshon–Sag‘bon intersection near the Islomobod Mosque; and from the Sag‘bon–12th Tor Sag‘bon intersection to the Keles Yuli–Noraztepa intersection near the Do‘stjonboy (Sulola) Mosque.
In Yunusobod district, traffic will be restricted on Bog‘ishamol Street up to Shivli Street near the Mirza Yusuf Mosque.
In Uchtepa district, traffic will be restricted from the Katta Qani roundabout to the Lutfi–Katta Hirmontepa intersection near the Abdulloh ibn Mas’ud (Katta Qani) Mosque, and from the Nazarbek–Mahorat intersection to the Nazarbek–1st Tor Zamakhshari Street near the Hazrati Ali Mosque.
In Chilonzor district, traffic will be restricted from the secondary road under the Bunyodkor–Muqimiy bridge to the Bunyodkor–Kamolon bridge near the Novza Mosque; from the Al-Khwarizmi–Gavhar intersection to Sog‘alliota Street near the Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf Mosque; and along Al-Khwarizmi Street from the Al-Khwarizmi–Katta Hirmontepa intersection to the Al-Khwarizmi–Katta Qani intersection near the Ubay ibn Ka’b (Bo‘rijar) Mosque.
Only special service vehicles will be allowed to move on the restricted streets.
Residents and visitors of the capital are asked to plan their routes in advance and take into account possible temporary inconveniences.
Earlier, it was reported that Khatm al-Qur’an events will be held in 1,762 mosques across Uzbekistan during Ramadan.
