Expired and altered beverages prepared for sale found in Tashkent

In Tashkent, authorities prevented the circulation of a large quantity of expired beverage products that had been altered using special liquids and prepared for sale. This was reported by the State Security Service.

According to the report, in a warehouse located in the Yashnobod district and belonging to two private companies engaged in the sale of alcoholic and soft drinks, a large number of expired items were discovered. The stock included 79,172 soft drinks worth 429,629,000 UZS and 3,374 alcoholic beverages valued at 134,845,000 UZS.

Additionally, 25,746 various alcoholic beverages without entry documentation, worth 1,187,000,000 UZS, were also found in the warehouse.

During the inspection, it was revealed that most of the soft drinks had their expiration dates altered using special liquids and were prepared for sale.

Furthermore, an expert analysis was ordered to verify the quality of the expired and undocumented beverages. Pre-investigation procedures are currently ongoing.

As a reminder, in October 2024, authorities in Tashkent prevented the circulation of expired pharmaceutical products worth 2.2 billion UZS.
