Elderly pedestrian was struck by Matiz in Tashkent

In Tashkent’s Yunusabad district, a Matiz driver struck an elderly pedestrian crossing at a marked pedestrian crossing. The incident was reported by the Traffic Safety Department of the city’s MDIA.
The accident occurred on November 5 at 1:10 p.m. on Asia Street in Yunusabad. The driver, identified as B.N., born in 2000, hit H.S., an 83-year-old pedestrian born in 1941.
As a result, the elderly pedestrian sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
An investigation is currently underway regarding the incident.
It’s worth noting that previously, a Lasetti car struck two pedestrians near the Botanic Garden in Tashkent. Additionally, on October 8, a 19-year-old driver fatally struck a 50-year-old pedestrian in Olmalik, Tashkent region.
