Employee of a clothing store in Tashkent was beaten by a colleague (video)

A video showing an employee being assaulted for making a mistake at the Sergeli branch of the Inbazar shopping center has been circulating on social media. QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Omadtillo Kholmatov, the head of the shopping center, to clarify the situation.

Kholmatov stated that efforts are currently underway to determine the cause of the incident and identify the individual responsible for assaulting the employee. Internal affairs officers have been brought to the shopping center to investigate the matter.

The editors also contacted Nilufar Isakhanova, the press secretary of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs (IIBB). According to Isakhanova, no formal complaint has been filed. However, the Sergeli District Internal Affairs Department is conducting a preliminary investigation to provide a legal assessment of the situation shown in the video.

"More detailed information will be provided once the investigation is complete," said Nilufar Isakhanova.

In the video, a fellow employee of the shopping center can be seen assaulting the worker. The attacker, wearing a white shirt, struck the employee on the face and body while berating him, saying, "You are a slob, you have no right to work here," and, "Change your clothes and get out of here."
