Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits medical center in Sergeli

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today, July 4, visited a private multidisciplinary medical center in Sergeli district and familiarized himself with its activities. The presidential press service reported this.

It was noted that the modern medical center is currently able to provide medical services in many areas that are in high demand among the population.

A total of $30 million in investment was allocated for the construction of the center. It will be able to provide medical services to more than 150,000 people a year. The facility, which covers a total area of 0.5 hectares, plans to bring its annual volume of services to 15 billion soums.

It was reported that a presentation on the center’s activities was given to the head of state. The President inspected the conditions created in the surgery, intensive care and treatment departments, as well as in the situation center.

The project created 250 new jobs. The team includes more than 10 highly qualified specialists who have undergone training abroad, as well as foreign doctors. The center is equipped with modern medical equipment imported from the United Kingdom, Italy and Germany. In particular, advanced medical technologies from PHILIPS have been installed at the facility.

The head of state emphasized the importance of turning the center into a base medical institution in certain areas. Based on the advanced experience to be accumulated there, officials were instructed to improve doctors’ qualifications and expand access to modern medical services.

The President also spoke with the center’s staff. Special attention was paid to supporting specialists working in the sector, increasing the number of private medical organizations, and providing the population with high-quality, modern and effective medical services.

“Along with providing every patient with quality and decent service, it is necessary to combine medical and tourism services. This area should be widely promoted, foreign experience should be studied, and hotel infrastructure should be developed near hospitals,” the head of state said.

Earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the work carried out on Yangi Sergeli Street in the Ittifoq mahalla of Sergeli district, as well as the activities of trade and service facilities there.

The head of state walked through the mahalla, familiarized himself with homes renovated in a national architectural style, improved streets and amenities created for residents, and held a sincere conversation with mahalla activists and citizens.
